Showing some class

On thing I like about attending professional baseball games is the singing of the National Anthem before the game. The other day, I saw this video. It appears to be from the 2007 season. The Boston Red Sox were hosting a Disability Awareness Day, and the National Anthem was being sung by one of the disabled persons being recognized. Partway through the song, he begins having trouble getting through it. No matter your baseball allegiances, you have to admit the Boston fans showed a lot of class in how they reacted to this young man's difficulties with the song:

There's just something about hearing the entire stadium singing together. I've been able to be a part of that a few times at Express games, too.

Hi Miss Ladybug.....I was just going through some old posts on my blog and I ran across your comment on my post about the Coolie tournament. And of course I know "the twins!" Could you be considered the "triplet?"

You are probably going to have 8 million comments from me because I just realized that your comments have to be approved. Sorry! Amazingly enough, I actually work in the technology industry. Shocking!

No problem. I've thought about removing the "must be approved" thing, since I can't always get to them right away...

Ready for Opening Day? I assume Jamie will be at Spring Training? The younger "twin" sent me an email about Hunter Pence and his big brother, Howard, today. They both can't wait...

And can I really be a "triplet"? I'm a bit older and not joined at the hip like they seem to be to each other...

Sure you can be a triplet....if they can be as far apart in age as they are and still be considered twins then I would say you are okay with the triplet title. I will start spreading the word that there is a triplet out there. :-)

I am absolutely ready for the season and Spring Training. Jamey left today to drive there and I am flying out next week. But it will be nice when the season starts and he is back in Texas instead of Cleveland. The travel will be much easier!

And I am excited to see your sisters more often when I am at RR games. Which my attendance at those games has dropped significantly since Jamey and I started dating and now I am at Corpus games every weekend. ;-)

Well, some of the folks know me. I went to quite a few games these past three seasons - since I've been back in Texas. I expect that will be the same this season.

I met Jamey a few times - once in Corpus (opening day of the inaugural season?), and once in SA when the Hooks were there and the Express were on the road and the five of us (me, the "twins", J & I think K) had gone down for the game. They can't leave without seeing Jamey ;-)
